One of the hotly contested Serie A fixtures is on the menu this weekend as Lazio face Roma in the Derby Della Capitale.
Lazio are not enjoying the right start to the new season that they would have wished for as they lost their opening day match against Como by a two-goal margin. The Biancocelesti rebounded well and put four past Verona with Matteo Guendouzi, Mattia Zaccagni, Valentin Castellanos and Boulaye Dia on the scoresheet. However, they fell to a 1-0 defeat to Sassuolo last week. Maurizio Sarri is under pressure due to his results in the first three matchdays but he will get a major lifeline if he manages to get a victory over Lazio’s bitter rivals this weekend.
Roma enter this match on the back of a frustrating 1-0 defeat to Torino in their previous Serie A outing. Gian Piero Gasperini led the Giallorossi to two straight victories in the opening two matchdays but the recent loss left them in seventh place with six points. Roma will be without the services of Leon Bailey and Paulo Dybala. The presence of Mario Hermoso is also in doubt as he is recovering from a calf issue. Evan Ferguson is set to start the match, replacing Dybala upfront and he could become the first man in over 11 years to score his first Roma goal in the derby.
Here are the predicted line-ups for the match:
Lazio (4-3-3): Provedel; Marusic, Gila, Romagnoli, Tavares; Guendouzi, Cataldi, Dele-Bashiru; Cancellieri, Castellanos, Zaccagni.
Roma (3-4-2-1): Svilar; Celik, Mancini, Ndicka; Rensch, Cristante, Kone, Angelino; Soule, El Shaarawy; Ferguson.
