Premier League and Saudi clubs ‘to rival’ Wolves for Kieran Trippier | OneFootball

Wolves have agreed a deal to sign Kieran Trippier on a free as they prepare for life in the Championship. According to the Daily Mail, the club prize his leadership and mentoring, and there is interest from Premier League sides and Saudi Arabia.

Relegation has triggered a rebuild, with promotion at the first attempt the target. Right-back is a priority, talks have taken place with Trippier, who is leaving Newcastle United.

The 35-year-old enjoyed a standout spell at St James’ Park, helping Newcastle evolve into European contenders, though 2025/26 was a difficult campaign. He still started 18 Premier League games last season.

Eddie Howe has previously described Trippier as among the best players he has managed, and his professionalism would lift the dressing room. He also brings versatility and set-piece threat.

Wolves still face a battle to land him. With Matt Doherty likely to depart, Trippier could be an astute fit if Wanderers finalise the move.
