Premier League: Arsenal held to a draw by Wolverhampton
Heartbreak for Arsenal FC in the Premier League. Away at Wolverhampton Wanderers, the London side conceded a last-gasp equaliser (2-2).
The match began perfectly for Mikel Arteta’s men. In just the 5th minute, Bukayo Saka headed in a pinpoint cross from Declan Rice to open the scoring. Dominant throughout, the Gunners controlled the first half without ever really being troubled.
After the break, Piero Hincapié doubled the lead following a pass from Gabriel Magalhães. But Wolverhampton refused to give in. Hugo Bueno pulled one back with a long-range strike before Tom Edozie sent the stadium into raptures in the 94th minute, capitalising on a deflected shot that found the net.
Still league leaders, the Gunners maintain a five-point gap over Manchester City FC, but these dropped points could prove crucial in the title race.
