An incredible summer of transfer spending by the 20 Premier League clubs.
More than £3.1billion paid out in total in the summer 2025 window.
Premier League clubs spending more than ever before.
The previous record was summer 2023, when the 20 Premier League clubs spent £2.4billion.
Sky Sports have done some analysis on the transfer window just ended.
Included in that analysis they have given details on spending by position…

As you can see, around 60 per cent of this summer’s spending was on forwards.
Sky Sports have also done a league table of spending by the 20 Premier League clubs for this summer 2025 transfer window:
As you can see, Liverpool by far the highest spend this summer, committing to £446.5m according to the Sky Sports figures.
You then have Chelsea and Arsenal next highest, before you get to Newcastle United fourth highest, spending £256.3m.
Seventh highest were Sunderland, a transfer spend of £183.4m this summer.
However, you then have the net spend figures, deducting what Premier League clubs have sold players for, taking those amounts off what they have spent.
When it comes to net spend, Arsenal at the very top having spent £257m more than they have sold players for.
Liverpool, Man U and Spurs are next highest, before you get to the fifth biggest net spenders who are…Sunderland, a net spend of £141.4m.
