Sunderland beat Chelsea 2-1 on the final day to leapfrog them and clinch Europa League football in their first season after promotion.
NY Times reports that Arsenal are champions, with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Burnley and West Ham United relegated. Before Sunday, only first, second and third were set: Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.
Arsenal, City and United are joined by Aston Villa and Liverpool in the Champions League after a European Performance Slot. Villa also won the Europa League, beating Freiburg 3-0 in Istanbul, and a 2-1 win at City sealed fourth ahead of Liverpool, denying sixth a place. Liverpool drew 1-1 with Brentford.
Bournemouth finished sixth after a 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest and will play in the Europa League. Andoni Iraola has left, with Marco Rose to take charge next term.
Brighton and Hove Albion lost 3-0 at home to United, slipped to eighth and take the Conference League.
Chelsea fell to 10th, their second-worst finish of the past decade, while Brentford stayed ninth.
The 2026-27 Premier League is set for the weekend of 22-23 August, with fixtures released on Friday 19 June at 10am BST.
