Leeds United were among 20 Premier League clubs to back a fresh extension of the £30 away ticket cap for two more seasons. The Premier League said in a statement that clubs voted unanimously, which will take the cap to 12 consecutive seasons.

The cap has been in place for the last 10 Premier League seasons, ensuring adult away tickets are never priced above £30.

In 2023/24, Elland Road chiefs pursued reciprocal pricing with Championship rivals to keep tickets affordable, though not all accepted, and Coventry City were among those to refuse.

Leeds also implemented a £30 cap during the 2024/25 Championship campaign, aligning with the top flight’s policy.

Should Leeds remain in the Premier League beyond the summer, travelling supporters will be protected from matchday ticket price rises. The wider costs of following teams on the road, including public transport and petrol, were also recognised.

Since the cap was introduced in 2016, away attendances have risen from 82% to 91%, and away fans have been credited with helping create the league’s renowned atmosphere.
