Here are our predictions for Matchday 28:

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City

The weekend kicks off with the big game at the City Ground, with Forest and Man City separated by just one point going into this match.

Both teams made it to the quarter-finals of the FA Cup last weekend, but they now turn their attention back to the quest for Champions League football.

Forest haven’t won in the Premier League since their 7-0 thrashing of Brighton & Hove Albion in February, while City defeated Tottenham Hotspur on their most recent league outing.

City comfortably dispatched Nuno Espirito Santo’s men 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium in the reverse fixture. Forest have never beaten the Cityzens in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest 1-1 Manchester City

Manchester United vs Arsenal

Manchester United face Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Red Devils have struggled in the league this season and are on course to finish in the bottom half of the standings.

However, they have often raised their game against the top teams and will be eager to cause the visitors problems.

Arsenal cannot afford any slip-ups and should have just enough to get the three points.

Manchester United 1-2 Arsenal

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Fulham

Brighton & Hove Albion are on a run of five straight wins in all competitions and are firmly in contention for European qualification.

Fulham are only one point behind their opponents on Saturday, and anything is up for grabs for the team that puts together a good run of form.

This promises to be an entertaining game at the Amex Stadium. Fabian Hurzeler’s men have hit a purple patch at the right time and should win an entertaining contest.

Brighton & Hove Albion 3-1 Fulham

Crystal Palace vs Ipswich Town

Crystal Palace have steadied the ship after a sticky start to the season. Ipswich Town haven’t won in the Premier League this year and are five points away from safety.

However, with Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta out with a head injury, the Tractor Boys could spring a surprise at Selhurst Park.

Palace striker Eddie Nketiah has flattered to deceive this season, and it will be intriguing to see how well he can fill Mateta’s boots.

Crystal Palace 1-1 Ipswich Town

Liverpool vs Southampton

Liverpool have a 13-point lead at the top of the Premier League and should maintain it against Southampton.

The Saints are rooted to the bottom of the table, with nine points from 27 games.

The result here isn’t in too much doubt – it’s just a question of how many times Aaron Ramsdale picks the ball from the back of his net.

Liverpool 6-0 Southampton

Brentford vs Aston Villa

Brentford welcome Aston Villa to the Gtech Community Stadium in the late game on Saturday.

Thomas Frank’s men are in 11th place and look set for another solid mid-table finish. Villa still want to push for a European place with ten games to go.

January signings Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio are starting to make a difference and could trouble the home side.

Brentford 2-2 Aston Villa

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Everton

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton are 17th and 16th in the Premier League table going into Gameweek 28 but are separated by 10 points.

The threat of relegation loomed large during the first half of the season for both clubs, but managerial changes have turned them into defensively solid outfits.

David Moyes’ side have a little more quality and should prevail at Molineux.

Wolverhampton Wanderers 0-1 Everton

Chelsea vs Leicester City

Enzo Maresca faces the side he led to the Premier League last season, as Chelsea host 19th-placed Leicester City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Foxes look set to go straight back down to the Championship, as they have struggled to both score and contain the opposition from scoring.

They have lost their last four league games by an aggregate score of 12-0. Chelsea haven’t been at their best lately but should win.

Chelsea 3-0 Leicester City

Tottenham Hotspur vs Bournemouth

Defeats against Wolves and Brighton have stifled Bournemouth’s charge towards the top four.

However, Andoni Iraola’s side are still only four points away from the Champions League qualification spots.

Tottenham have nothing left to play for in the Premier League and succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League on Thursday.

Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Bournemouth

West Ham United vs Newcastle United

West Ham United host Newcastle United at the London Stadium on Monday.

The Hammers have hit form for the first time under new manager Graham Potter, earning an impressive 1-0 win at Arsenal two weeks ago before beating Leicester City last time around.

Newcastle have lost their last two in all competitions but should be too strong for West Ham.

West Ham United 1-3 Newcastle United
