Manchester United are expected to oversee a complete overhaul in the summer transfer window.

Raising funds will be crucial for INEOS if they are to sufficiently bolster Ruben Amorim’s options ahead of the 2025/2026 term, although they will watch four players leave for good without getting a penny in return.

Indeed, Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, Tom Heaton and Jonny Evans are all in the final two months of their contracts at Old Trafford, with none of the Reds being offered fresh terms to continue their United careers.

Evans, 37, and Heaton, 38, are said to be considering hanging up their boots – and gloves – for good, while Eriksen and Lindelof are currently mullng over their options, and where their future lies after parting ways with the club.

Lindelof garners lengthy list of Premier League suitors

Of the quartet, it appears as though Lindelof is the one who’s attracting the most interest leading up to his release – which isn’t too much of a surprise, given he’s the youngest of the group (30).

TBR Football claims the Sweden skipper has garnered a lengthy list of suitors that would allow him to continue plying his trade in the Premier League; Everton and West Ham are leading the race for his signature, while Brighton and Hove Albion, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers are all waiting in the wings to perhaps make their proposals closer to the summer window.

Lindelof, whom counterpart Harry Maguire hailed as a ‘technically brilliant’ player, has endured unrelenting injury issues over the last two seasons. He has made only seven appearances since Ruben Amorim took the reins last November (three as a starter) and 14 across the entirety of the campaign thus far.

After completing his first 90 minutes of international action in 12 months, the defender highlighted his desire to play more frequently, saying: It’s been a while. It felt good. It’s nice to play 90 minutes. I need minutes. We play with very high intensity in the national team, so it’s fun to hold for 90 minutes.”

Unfortunately, such a plea is unlikely to be fulfilled in M16 from now until his release.
