Bournemouth star and rumoured Real Madrid transfer target Dean Huijsen has this week spoken out on a potential move to the Santiago Bernabéu.
The name of defender Huijsen has of course proven an increasingly prominent one in the headlines in Spain’s capital over recent months.
This comes amid the widespread understanding that the 19-year-old has been earmarked as a serious transfer target on the part of the aforementioned Real Madrid.
Huijsen, for his part, is in the midst of something of a breakout campaign in England.
After making the move to Bournemouth from Italian heavyweights Juventus, the stopper has quickly established himself as one of the Cherries’ star performers, impressing the masses with his efforts in and out of possession alike.
Amid their ongoing search for reinforcements in central defence, Real Madrid, in turn, have been keeping a close eye on Huijsen’s development.
And as alluded to above, this week, the player himself has spoken out on as much.
Drawn on the alleged interest of the Spanish champions in his signature during an extensive interview with El Chiringuito TV, Huijsen began:
“Real Madrid’s interest? Yes, my friend sent the news to me. And he said ‘Go to Madrid!’ (laughs).”
The young defender continued:
“Would I like to go to Real Madrid? It’s a big club. Every player wants to play in the biggest team possible.”
