Premier League side readying “huge offer” for Real Madrid forward | OneFootball

A busy few weeks are in store for Real Madrid, as they prepare to make significant signings while also moving on players. They are working on bringing in Yan Diomande and Rodri from RB Leipzig and Manchester City respectively, but sales may also be required in order for the books to be balanced for the 2026-27 financial year.

In terms of big-money sales, Nico Paz has already re-signed for Como for €60m after Real Madrid triggered their €9m buy-back clause, and soon, and there could be another La Fabrica making a lucrative switch. In recent months, Gonzalo Garcia has been attracting strong interest, and he could now be set for a move to the Premier League.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Fulham had made Gonzalo their leading target, and it’s now been reported by Matteo Moretto (via FulhamFanNews) that the Premier League club, who are managed by ex-Real Madrid head coach Alvaro Arbeloa, are preparing a “huge offer” for the Spain international striker.

Arbeloa is very keen to be reunited with Gonzalo, who scored eight goals in his breakthrough season in 2025-26. Real Madrid have shown a desire to retain the services of the 22-year-old, although they could be open to selling if an offer comes in that suits all parties.

Real Madrid would be comfortable letting Gonzalo go to Fulham, knowing that Arbeloa can be trusted to regularly use his Spanish compatriot. This is important for the Bernabeu club as they will almost certainly look to include a significant sell-on clause and/or a buy-back option as part of any agreement that is reached with any interested party.

It will be interesting to see how Gonzalo’s situation plays out over the coming weeks. For now, Real Madrid are yet to decide whether they will accept a sale, although if one does go through, they would surely need to source a replacement.
