According to a recent report from Fichajes, several Premier League clubs are now actively battling to secure the signature of Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.

The outlet mentions that the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Nottingham Forest and Brighton and Hove Albion have all emerged as the leading contenders in the race.

Each of these clubs is looking to strengthen their goalkeeping department, and Lunin is viewed as a profile capable of instantly raising the competitive level between the posts.

For Lunin, who is also wanted by AC Milan, this moment feels like a turning point, as his Real Madrid career has largely unfolded in the shadow of Thibaut Courtois, a reality that has limited his chances of establishing himself as a regular starter.

Despite this, the club has always valued his attitude and professionalism, and there is no sense of dissatisfaction with his conduct behind the scenes.

Real Madrid have set a price

That said, his lack of playing time in La Liga this season has pushed his representatives to seriously explore options elsewhere.

With a contract running until 2030, any move away from the Santiago Bernabeu would require serious negotiation.

While Real Madrid are in no rush to sell, they are open to facilitating a departure if their financial expectations are met, even as early as this January.

The Spanish giants have reportedly placed a valuation of around €25 million on the goalkeeper, as they feel it is a fair price for a player entering his prime years.

Meanwhile, Tottenham, Nottingham Forest and Brighton are all aware that Manchester United attempted to sign Lunin last summer, only for their approach to be dismissed as insufficient.

This time, the situation is different, as Lunin is more open to a move that offers him a clear path to becoming a first-choice goalkeeper.

For Real Madrid, the decision will come down to balance. Keeping a reliable deputy is important, but so is respecting a player’s ambition.
