Nottingham Forest and Sunderland go head-to-head at City Ground this Saturday in the Premier League. The match will be broadcast live at 17:30 on Sky Sports Main Event.
An eventful start to the season has knocked Nottingham Forest off-kilter - and new manager Ange Postecoglu's task is to restore harmony and a winning mentality at the City Ground after the dismissal of Nuno Espírito Santo. Forest have five points thus far this term and sit 15th in the Premier League, Postecoglou's team drawing 2-2 against Real Betis in the Europa League midweek.
Sunderland, in contrast, have started the season well - picking up eight points and currently sitting pretty in 7th position. In their last game, Régis Le Bris's team drew 1-1 with Aston Villa.
Rich Ferraro (1865: The Nottingham Forest Podcast): The match away at Real Betis was a real ride, but it was also really tiring (and that's just for the fans). Played on a hot, humid night, Forest suffered some potential injuries with Luiz and Milenkovic, and others frankly looked dead on their feet.
This is likely to affect team selection, and I can see Ange Postecoglou turning to some players who weren't involved from the start on Wednesday night.
Sunderland will probably be pleased with their start to the season, and have certainly shown that they are no pushovers - so Forest will need nous as well as physicality to try and overcome the Black Cats. All being well, the City Ground should be able to roar the Reds onto their first victory under the big Aussie.
Prediction: 2-1
Graham Falk (WTF Sunderland Podcast): Another weekend, another tough test for the Lads. Crystal Palace, Villa, and Nottingham Forest in consecutive weeks is a difficult ask, but we've come through with flying colours at key moments. No newly promoted team that has gained eight points from their opening five games has been relegated in history, but I'd certainly feel more comfortable with 11 from six. Will fatigue play a part for Ange's team after Wednesday's Europa League exploits? One can hope, but this will really challenge us, I'd take a draw without question at the City Ground.
