Malo Gusto drew Chelsea level in the 28th minute, finding space behind Nuno Mendes before rifling the ball past Matvey Safonov.

PSG restored their lead with a lightning counterattack as Desire Doue slipped Ousmane Dembele through, and the Frenchman fired past Filip Jorgensen.

The second half started with a low attacking tempo from both sides until Chelsea drew level in the 57th minute.

PSG lost the ball carelessly, allowing Pedro Neto to run through and the Portuguese delivered a low cross for Enzo Fernandez to apply the finish.

Vitinha put the defending champions ahead again in the 74th minute, producing a brilliant chip to lift the ball over Jorgensen after the goalkeeper’s error.

At the other end, Joao Pedro thought he had drawn Chelsea level after finishing from close range, but his effort was ruled offside.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made it 4-2 in the 86th minute, cutting inside before rifling a brilliant strike home.

The Georgian sealed PSG’s victory in stoppage time with a first-time finish, helping the Parisians to become the first French side to score five goals against an English team in the Champions League knockout stage.
