Vinícius Jr.’s future with Real Madrid appears uncertain, and PSG could be in a position to take advantage. Following the 2025-26 season, the Brazilian forward will have just one year remaining on his current deal, which runs until June 2027.

That situation leaves Real Madrid under pressure to reach an extension soon or consider selling him next summer rather than risk losing him for nothing.

With Kylian Mbappé joining the club last year, Real Madrid may also view this as an opportunity to capitalize on Vinícius’ high value and utilize those resources to bolster the squad around the former PSG star.

SPORT reports that Vinícius’ future at Real Madrid is uncertain, with the club’s leadership unwilling to meet his request to earn the same salary as Kylian Mbappé. Mbappé is reportedly earning more than €600,000 a week, while Vinícius currently earns over €400,000 weekly.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri revealed that Real Madrid has placed a €150 million price on Vinícius. The forward’s relationship with manager Xabi Alonso is reportedly strained, keeping the door open for a potential transfer.

Meanwhile, El Chiringuito added that after contract extension talks hit a standstill, Real Madrid is firm on a €150 million minimum fee for Vinícius. With tensions between the player and Alonso still apparent, Real Madrid anticipates interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, SPORT has previously reported that Vinicius would be open to playing for Luis Enrique at PSG. It will be interesting to see how this entire saga transpires, but Mbappé could see the Neymar Jr. story repeat itself in Spain.

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey, who told The Chelsea Chronicle that Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly is eager to sign a “generational player” such as Vinicius, even if it conflicts with the club’s focus on younger, developing talents.

Bailey also noted that Boehly is particularly attracted to the “commercial benefits” the Real Madrid star could bring to Stamford Bridge. Despite all the rumors, the insider still believes the most likely outcome is Vinicius signing a new deal with Real Madrid, though he’s reportedly “not happy” and feels “unsettled” in Spain.
