PSG hail Fabian Ruiz after World Cup and Champions League double

Paris Saint-Germain have hailed Fabian Ruiz after Spain’s World Cup triumph completed his World Cup and Champions League double.

According to L'Équipe, the midfielder won the Champions League with PSG seven weeks earlier, a 1-1 final against Arsenal settled 4-3 on penalties, before Spain beat Argentina 1-0 after extra time on Sunday.

Ruiz joins an elite group of 11 players to win the World Cup and the Champions League in the same year, alongside Franz Beckenbauer, Roberto Carlos and Raphaël Varane.

PSG marked the feat on social media with a simple message, "Won it all".

His honours now include Euro 2024 with Spain, Champions League titles in 2025 and 2026, four Ligue 1 crowns, two Coupes de France, three Trophées des champions and the Intercontinental Cup with PSG.
