Paris Saint-Germain have joined Real Madrid in the race to sign Manchester City star Rodri.
According to RMC Sport, PSG have contacted City to enquire about the conditions for a transfer of the Spain international.
PSG hadn’t planned to sign a new midfielder. However, they are now interested in signing Rodri, who has only a year left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium.
Madrid are still leading the race, as they have already agreed personal terms with him. They have yet to agree a transfer fee with City.
Rodri is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the world, known for his passing, composure, aerial dominance and stamina.
He has played a pivotal role in Man City’s success since joining from Atletico Madrid in 2019.
His honours include four Premier League titles, a Champions League, two FA Cups and three League Cups.
Rodri struggled to rediscover his form after recovering from a knee injury in 2024, but he was back to his best at the World Cup.
The 30-year-old started all eight matches and starred in the final as Spain defeated Argentina 1-0 in the final.
