Ligue 1 champions PSG are monitoring Mohamed Salah’s (32) contract stand-off with Premier League leaders Liverpool FC, according to a report this Friday from Foot Mercato. The free-scoring Egypt international is out of contract next June and he announced this Friday on Sky Sports he was playing his final season with the Reds, who currently top the Premier League and Champions League standings. The outlet understands Salah’s words to Sky Sports are an attempt to pressure Liverpool into returning to the negotiating table as Salah’s priority is to extend his stay on Merseyside.
However, because Salah has entered the final six months of his Liverpool contract, clubs are now allowed to exchange freely with him. Foot Mercato adds that Ligue 1 champions PSG remain interested, and talks are continuing with the player’s advisors. Les Parisiens are longtime admirers of Salah, and they will have no difficulty meeting his wage requirements, although they have denied being involved in any talks with the player. Saudi Arabia clubs have made no concrete move as of yet toward Salah.
