Championnat National 2 side Stade Briochin faced a tough challenge, conceding in the 16th minute. They held firm but couldn’t keep PSG off the scoresheet, as Gonçalo Ramos doubled the lead.

After halftime, PSG took full control, with Désiré Doué playing a key role in the scoring surge. Ramos converted a penalty to kickstart the second-half onslaught.

Doué then found the net in the 55th minute before assisting goals from Ramos and Senny Mayulu. PSG didn’t let up, with Ousmane Dembélé adding a fifth goal in the 66th minute.

Enrique spoke to beIN Sports after the match, and while he talked about the lopsided win, the Spanish boss was asked about Liverpool. Moreover, he revealed the mindset that he wanted the squad to have when heading into this tie as Enrique wants PSG to give the Reds a “hard time.”

“Well, if we look at Liverpool, which, in theory, is in a transition year, they have a top-level coach and are one of the best teams in Europe,” Enrique told the network (h/t Culture PSG). “With their results, they are at the top of the standings, etc. But I believe we will be in the competition, and we will give them a hard time. The goal is to fight until the end.”

The first leg will be next Wednesday, March 5, when PSG welcome Liverpool to the Parc des Princes. On March 11, the Parisians must travel to Anfield for the second leg.
