Barcelona have responded to Paris Saint-Germain’s recent interest in signing two of their midfield prospects, Fermin Lopez and Marc Casado.

According to Fichajes, Barça have informed the French champions that if they want both players, the asking price is €130 million.

It is said that PSG’s push comes after manager Luis Enrique identified the duo as top priorities to strengthen his midfield for the future.

Enrique has closely followed Fermin and Casado’s progress and believes they could add much-needed energy and creativity to PSG’s squad.

After PSG’s defeat to Chelsea in the Club World Cup final, their midfield has come under scrutiny. The former Barcelona coach now wants fresh talent, and the two La Masia graduates are part of his plan.

Barcelona would be tough in negotiations

In Fermin’s case, the situation is not simple. The 22-year-old recently extended his contract with Barcelona until 2030. However, given the competition in the midfield, his role in the starting XI is uncertain.

Although Flick values Fermin highly, he cannot guarantee him a regular starting place. This has made Fermin think carefully about his future, especially with the 2026 World Cup in mind.

He knows limited game time at Barça could hurt his chances of making Spain’s squad.

Several top clubs, including Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United, and PSG, are all keeping a close eye on him. Still, Barcelona have set Fermin’s price at €80 million.

Casado would cost €50 million

Casado has also attracted serious attention from Europe. Bayer Leverkusen have already offered around €30 million for him, but Barcelona rejected it immediately.

The club made it clear they won’t consider any bids below €50 million. Casado impressed early last season but struggled for minutes in the second half of the campaign.

With Marc Bernal returning from injury, his role is currently up in the air. Flick plans to evaluate him during the pre-season before deciding his future.
