PSG vs Marseille: Kuwait to Host 2026 Trophee des Champions

The French Football League announced on Friday that Kuwait will stage the 2026 Trophee des Champions between Paris Saint Germain and Olympique de Marseille.

New date confirmed

Originally planned for the summer, the fixture has been pushed back to 8 January 2026 as PSG, the reigning European champions are tied up with Super cup & Club World cup.

Why Kuwait?

The showdown will be played at Jaber Al Ahmad International Stadium in Kuwait City.

According to L'Equipe, both Oman & Ivory Coast submitted hosting bids but Kuwait won the rights.

Rivals meet again

PSG secured the domestic double last season while Marseille finished second in Ligue 1.

The two side recently met in the league at the Velodrome where Moroccan defender Nayef Aguerd earned OM 1 - 0 victory.
