PSG host Toulouse at the Parc des Princes on Friday in Ligue 1, with Luis Enrique’s side looking to strengthen their grip at the top of the table ahead of the final quarter of the season.
The champions have won 15 out of the 17 home matches against Toulouse since 2010, losing just once during this period.
PSG’s latest club medical update confirmed that Senny Mayulu has resumed training with the squad, while Bradley Barcola and Fabian Ruiz are continuing individual work and Quentin Ndjantou remains in treatment.
While Barcola and Rui are doing their individual work, they are still out of Friday’s game, while Ndjantou is not ready to return at all.
Luis Enrique said there were “no injuries” coming out of the break. Still, he stressed that he would assess each player’s physical and mental state after Thursday’s training session before finalising his plan for Toulouse and the upcoming Champions League tie with Liverpool.
Toulouse’s squad is also carrying several absences. Santiago Hidalgo is suspended, while Charlie Cresswell, Rafik Messali, Frank Magri and Abu Francis are all unavailable through injury.
That limits Carles Martinez Novell’s options, especially against a PSG side that can overwhelm opponents in possession.
With eight goals and two assists this season in Ligue 1, Toulouse will expect Yann Gboho to continue his goalscoring form against the league leaders.
PSG have won their last three competitive matches by a combined 12-2 and have kept back-to-back clean sheets in that spell, which underlines their current control in both boxes.
They beat Nice 4-0 in their most recent outing before the international break, and Luis Enrique has made it clear that Ligue 1 points remain a priority, even with Liverpool looming in Europe.
They currently sit on top of the league with 60 points from 26 matches, one point ahead of second-placed Lens with one extra game in hand.
Toulouse beat Lorient 1-0 in their last league outing and sit in the top half of the table (ninth in the table with 37 points from 27 matches), but the broader picture is less consistent. They will need a disciplined away performance to avoid being dragged into PSG’s rhythm, especially with several first-team players missing.
PSG: Safonov; Hakimi, Beraldo, Marquinhos, L. Hernandez; Zaire-Emery, Neves, Fernandez; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia.
Toulouse: Restes; Methalie, McKenzie, Nicolaisen; Casseres, Diop; Donnum, Vossah, Sauer, Russell-Rowe; Emersonn.
