Paris Saint-Germain have one foot in the UEFA Champions League final, but history suggests there’s still work to do.
Luis Enrique’s men won the first leg of their semi-final tie with Arsenal 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium last week, thanks to an early strike from Ousmane Dembélé (27).
On one hand, PSG have won three of their last four matches played at the Parc des Princes in this competition, netting 14 goals over that stretch. At the same time, they have also lost two Champions League affairs this season on home soil to Atlético Madrid and Liverpool, respectively.
Their form at home against English sides should give the Gunners hope that this tie is far from over. Les Parisiens have lost two of their last three home knockout fixtures in this tournament versus English opposition.
They have never won a semi-final Champions League affair on home soil, losing to Manchester City at this stage in 2021.
PSG have only been eliminated once when they won the opening leg of a European tie away from home when Manchester United knocked them out of the Champions League in 2019.
