Puma, Gómez and Adson headlined Vasco’s 2-1 fightback against São Paulo in the 12th round of the Brasileirão 2026.
According to Globo.com’s player ratings, Puma Rodríguez equalised from the spot and later swung in the cross before Andrés Gómez smashed the late winner, with Adson heavily involved down the right.
São Paulo led at the break when Luciano converted the rebound after a Calleri effort, having outwitted Robert Renan in the build-up.
After the interval, Cuiabano cleared off the line to prevent 2-0, then Spinelli drew a fine Rafael stop in the attack that brought the penalty Rodríguez converted.
The winner arrived late as Adson’s strike deflected off Brenner and sat for Gómez to drill home, after Rodríguez’s delivery and an initial switch from Cuiabano.
Paulo Henrique went off after a knee knock. Robert Renan, Carlos Cuesta, Tchê Tchê and Johan Rojas were judged below par, while Léo Jardim caused a late scare. Renato Gaúcho’s tweaks lifted Vasco in the second half.
