Quaresma urges João Félix to tell Roberto Martínez to play him more after Portugal draw | OneFootball

Ricardo Quaresma urged João Félix to ask Roberto Martínez to use him more, while voicing faith in the team after Portugal’s draw with DR Congo.

"We ended up drawing, now we have two games to sort out. I still believe in you, no doubt. Tell your coach to play you more. Let us try to start differently next game and win," said the former Portugal winger, speaking on LiveModeTV.

He was responding to Félix’s assessment of the stalemate and backed the side, while arguing the forward should feature more regularly under Roberto Martínez.

Félix said he was confident of a positive response in the next match against Uzbekistan and highlighted factors he felt limited Portugal’s display against the African side.

"I think we started well. In the first three minutes DR Congo did not touch the ball. We were on top in their half, we scored, then we slowed a little," said the Al Nassr forward.
