Rafa Silva ‘to target’ Benfica century after return | OneFootball

Rafa Silva has rejoined Benfica after 18 months in Türkiye and is already setting his sights on a landmark.

A Bola reports that the 32-year-old is just six goals short of 100 for the club, a total he could surpass this season.

Confirmed on 22 January, the Portugal international is set to wear 27, with Bruma taking 7. He is set to report to Seixal today to begin training with team-mates.

All indications are that he is pushing to be in José Mourinho’s plans for the match against Estrela da Amadora on 25 January.

The clubs did not disclose the fee, but reports have suggested around five million euros plus up to two million in variables. He has signed for two and a half seasons, to summer 2028.

This season with Besiktas he made 16 competitive appearances, 10 in the Turkish league, four in the Europa Conference League and two in Europa League qualifying. Across 1,360 minutes he scored five and provided three assists.
