Rafael Leão trained at Corinthians’ CT Joaquim Grava on Friday, spoke pitchside with coach Fernando Diniz and met members of the squad.

According to Globo.com, the 27-year-old Milan forward is spending his holiday in Brazil and used the club’s facilities to maintain fitness.

Leão enjoyed his peak in 2022, a leading figure in the campaign that delivered Milan the Italian title, and was regarded as one of Europe’s emerging stars.

Since then his level has dipped, mirroring Milan’s inconsistency, and he has lost ground as the team’s focal point.

Last season proved frustrating. Injuries disrupted his rhythm and he finished with 31 appearances and 10 goals.

At the last World Cup he represented Portugal, who were knocked out by Spain in the last 16.
