Raja makes big move and sign Bilal Ould-Chikh!
In a summer transfer window already full of surprises, Raja Club Athletic has made a significant move by signing Dutch-Moroccan winger Bilal Ould-Chikh, beating out two African giants—Zamalek SC and Espérance Tunis—for his signature.
Exclusive reports from Africafoot indicate that the 27-year-old is set to arrive in Casablanca in the coming hours to complete his medical and finalize the deal with the Green Eagles. Raja managed to win a fierce behind-the-scenes battle, convincing the former Netherlands U17 and U19 international—who also represented Morocco at U20 level—to join their ambitious sporting project.
Primarily a right winger, Ould-Chikh is coming off a season in the Dutch second tier with FC Volendam and is currently valued at €900,000 (Transfermarkt). Sources suggest the transfer fee could reach €1 million, with the player set to earn a €450,000 signing bonus in his first year, followed by a €550,000 salary in the second season. Additional performance-based bonuses are included, particularly if he helps Raja secure major trophies.
Despite strong interest from Zamalek and Espérance, Ould-Chikh chose Raja—a decision that underscores the club’s resurgence in the transfer market as they aim to build a squad capable of dominating both Moroccan and African football.
This high-profile signing sends a clear message to Raja’s rivals: the Green Eagles are ready to reclaim their spot among the continent’s elite, and this may only be the beginning.
