Raniele sat out Corinthians training on Tuesday after grazing a knee in a fall on Neo Química Arena’s new pitch during Monday’s session.

According to Globo.com, he caught his foot in the turf, lost his balance and left the session because of the severity of the graze. The incident happened shortly after media were asked to leave the stadium.

On Tuesday he worked indoors at CT Joaquim Grava, received treatment and did not take part in ball work. He will be reassessed in the coming days, and the expectation is that he could be available on Thursday against Remo at 19:30 in the 19th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

On the grass, head coach Fernando Diniz led a tactical workout and again trialled options with his starting side.

Corinthians sit 12th on 24 points. They have won three of their past five Série A matches as they look to edge back towards the 2027 Conmebol Libertadores places.
