Paulo Dybala finally made the difference for Roma, as he scored his first goals under coach Claudio Ranieri to inspire his side to an emphatic 5-0 win over Parma at the end of a week once again marked by transfer rumours about his potential exit.

The former Leicester manager reiterated the forward’s importance to his team, claiming the Giallorossi are ‘different’ with him on the pitch and suggesting that while his agents are trying to ‘promote’ him, the 31-year-old is ‘happy’ at the Stadio Olimpico.

Ranieri claims Dybala ‘happy’ at Roma and transfer rumours just agents’ job

“We also need to understand the job that agents do,” Ranieri told reporters who asked him about the striker’s future in a post-match press conference.

“Agents travel the world and promote the player. Nothing has come to us. I know he wants to stay. He’s happy with us, and we’re happy with him.”

Dybala scored the opener against Parma from the penalty spot less than 10 minutes into proceedings before adding a third for his side shortly before the break to increase his seasonal tally to four Serie A goals.

While speculation about a move away from the Stadio Olimpico may continue in the upcoming week, with January transfer window looming over, he could be just a few games from getting an automatic contract extension due to a clause included in his current deal.
