Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s deal has entered its final six months with no progress on a potential extension at Everton.

As things stand, the forward will leave as a free agent at the end of the current campaign. Everton could look to make a sale in January, as the Toffees look to recoup funds for new head coach David Moyes to invest.

Calvert-Lewin has struggled with form and fitness in recent campaigns but is unlikely to be short of suitors. At 27 and with 11 caps for England, he could be a sensible signing for several sides at a knockdown fee.

With the January transfer window in full swing, we’ve looked at the potential destinations for Calvert-Lewin this month. Using odds from casinohawks.com we’ve ranked the bookmakers’ favourites to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Ranking the favourites to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin from Everton this month

Arsenal – 14/1

Arsenal’s need for a centre-forward has rarely been more apparent. The Gunners have suffered consecutive defeats to Newcastle United and Manchester United in cup competition, with wasteful finishing to blame. Across those two fixtures, Arsenal underperformed their xG by a huge 5.4 goals.

Calvert-Lewin’s recent record for Everton is modest, though the 27-year-old could provide Arsenal with an out-and-out presence in the final third. The improved service at Arsenal could be what he needs to rediscover the form that saw him hit 16 league goals in 2020/21.

West Ham – 7/1

West Ham are in search of a striker this month. Graham Potter’s task as new head coach has been made hugely difficult by the absence of several attacking options. Michail Antonio faces a long recovery from a road traffic accident, while Jarrod Bowen and Niclas Fullkrug are each facing significant spells out injured. Expect the East Londoners to sign a striker before the January deadline.

Newcastle – 7/1

Newcastle are long-standing admirers of Calvert-Lewin and held talks over a deal to sign the forward last summer. The Magpies and Everton negotiated over a potential swap deal involving Calvert-Lewin and Yankuba Minteh, but the Blues’ valuation of the former saw talks break down.

Eddie Howe is short of reliable options at centre-forward with Callum Wilson enduring a torrid time with injuries and William Osula raw and unproven.

Atalanta – 4/1

Atalanta have been made favourites to sign Calvert-Lewin.

The Italian side have made contact with the player’s representatives over a potential move and could fast-track a deal this month. Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are impressing in Italy this season, with La Dea in the title race and excelling in Europe.

Calvert-Lewin could be tempted by a new challenge in Serie A, where England teammates Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham have found a home in recent years.
