A massive result for FC Barcelona as they take care of Atletico Madrid at the Spotify Camp Nou. In what was a must-win game for La Blaugrana, they started off with great intensity and were also much more clinical than their opponents.
Ultimately, a 3-1 victory is what Barça came away with from this game thanks to goals from Raphinha, Dani Olmo, and Ferran Torres. However, there are other notable performances worth talking about as well.
Here are the player ratings for the Barça players.
Player Ratings:
Joan Garcia: 7.5
Not at fault for the goal that he conceded, and his performance apart from that was great. His passing was reliable and he had to push out from his goal several times to take care of some of the opposition’s offensive chances.
Jules Kounde: 7.0
Much better in this game, considering that the Frenchman looked sharper and did quite well to link up with his teammates.
Pau Cubarsi: 7.0
Composed in terms of his passing, even if his defensive actions were not always up to the same standard. Still, had a solid outing against a very tough opposition.
Gerard Martin: 8.0
Some crucial tackles from Gerard Martin were much-needed in this game, and he delivered. Strong in his duels and also reliable in terms of his passing, this was a great display from the Spaniard.
Alejandro Balde: 8.0
Sharp on the left flank, and did well to link up with his teammates all game long. Also ended up grabbing a great assist for the pass he made to Ferran Torres for Barça’s third goal.
Eric Garcia: 7.5
Partnered up in midfield with Pedri, Eric Garcia did not have much to do. However, as the game went on, his defensive contributions became much more vital.
Pedri: 8.0
Always in control of the situation, Pedri was brilliant in this game. Provided a perfect pass to Raphinha for his opener, and did a lot of the defensive work for the team as well throughout this game.

Raphinha: 8.5
Scored a brilliant goal after making a smart run from Pedri’s pass, and his continuous pressing throughout the game constantly applied pressure on Atletico Madrid and never let them feel easy.
Dani Olmo: 8.0
The Spaniard looked sharp in this game, and this was arguably one of his better performances for Barça. Managed to score a great goal, which ultimately ended up being the winning goal in this game.
Lamine Yamal: 7.5
Not always effective, but always a tricky concern for Atletico Madrid to deal with. Even produced a moment of magic where he cut across several opposition players and put the ball on a silver platter for Raphinha to finish, which the latter was unable to do.
Robert Lewandowski: 5.0
A poor performance from the Polish striker, with him even completely missing the goal when Barcelona got awarded a crucial penalty. Managed to get a fortunate assist, but his overall display was extremely lacklustre.
Substitutes:
Ferran Torres: 7.5
Scored the third goal for Barcelona late in the game, but was a bit quiet apart from that. Still, his positioning allowed him to ensure that the Catalans got all three points.
Marcus Rashford: 7.0
Made a big impact after coming on, especially in transitions. Played a crucial role in getting Barça their third goal as well.
Dro Fernandez: 5.5
Looked sharp, but his positioning and workrate left a lot to be desired.
Marc Casado: 6.0
Good intensity from the Spanish midfielder, who was constantly looking to win back the ball.
Andreas Christensen: N/A
Not enough time or influence on the game to warrant a rating.
