Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has no intention of parting ways with the club this summer, a new report has revealed.

Hojlund endured a difficult 2024/2025 season, scoring only four times in the Premier League. He has been unable to get going in a United shirt since his big-money move from Atalanta in 2023 and there is now a growing acceptance that his time at Old Trafford is already up.

Hojlund’s struggles go far beyond his disappointing goal tally. He has found it difficult to master the basics of leading the line, from holding up the ball and linking play to something as simple as passing, raising serious concerns about his suitability to lead the line for United.

He has buckled under the weight of expectation at United, failing to deliver on the pitch. After two challenging seasons, the road back to form and confidence looks long and uncertain.

However, interest in the Dane remains, with the strongest rumours coming from Italy. Hojlund has been linked to the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus and Napoli.

More recently, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Inter have contacted Hojlund’s camp to explore the possibility of getting a deal over the line.

This has been reiterated by the Daily Mail, who note that Inter are “stepping up their interest” in Hojlund, who could be allowed to leave United for a cut-price fee.

However, according to UtdDistrict, Hojlund has made it clear he wants to stay at Old Trafford and is not interested in a move.

“Sources have informed UtdDistrict that Højlund has explicitly told his entourage that he would like to remain at United this summer and continue to fight for his place under Amorim.”

“While the player’s intentions are clear, it has been well documented that, if a suitable offer was to arrive for any player this summer, United would consider their sale.”

Meanwhile, centredevils claim that Hojlund’s agents have held talks with United over the past few weeks regarding the 22-year-old’s role under Ruben Amorim.

Centredevils note, “These meetings were held to consider Rasmus’ future at the club with United being willing to consider serious offers for the striker.”

On Sunday, United announced the arrival of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers. Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo could be up next, with the Cameroonian eager to make the switch.
