Rating all 17 of Florent Ghisfoli's Sunderland signings so far, two 10s and one 3 | OneFootball

Kristjaan Speakman’s exit has underlined Florent Ghisolfi’s central role at Sunderland. With safety virtually assured, this assesses his 17 additions across the last two windows.

According to Sunderland Echo, top marks went to Granit Xhaka 10/10 and Robin Roefs 10/10. Arthur Masuaku 3/10 was the only miss, limited minutes and an awkward fit making a summer exit look inevitable.

Noah Sadiki 9.5/10 shone before AFCON, his fee of around £15 million already looking cheap. Nordi Mukiele 9.5/10 added authority. Omar Alderete 9/10 was a shrewd fit, and Brian Brobbey 9/10 has become the focal point, the initial fee of around £17 million resembling value.

Reinildo 8/10 impressed when available, aside from a red at Aston Villa. Chemsdine Talbi 7.5/10 showed pace and end product, Lutsharel Geertruida 7.5/10 covered multiple roles with an option still pending, and Melker Ellborg 7.5/10 looks a calm deputy.

Habib Diarra 7/10, the record buy, hinted at major upside despite injury and AFCON. Bertrand Traoré 7/10 made an early impact before absences, and Nilson Angulo 7/10 shows encouraging traits. Simon Adingra 5/10 never quite fitted, Marc Guiu 5/10 was recalled early, and Jocelin Ta Bi was N/A after injury.

Many targets were tracked pre-promotion, and Ghisolfi quickly blended youth with experience to match Le Bris’s style and league demands. Spending at this scale is unlikely to continue, so the brief is to add talent without losing defensive solidity. Enzo Le Fée is excluded as his deal pre-dated Ghisolfi’s arrival.
