Raul Jimenez has agreed to rejoin Wolves on a free transfer and is set to be unveiled after leaving Fulham at the end of his contract.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, club staff travelled to Mexico this week to finalise the deal and oversee a medical, which Jimenez has completed. He will sign a two-year contract, with an option for a third.

He is due to feature for Mexico in the World Cup opener against South Africa on Thursday, so the club moved swiftly to conclude discussions.

Jimenez previously spent five years at Molineux, leading the line for Nuno Espirito Santo’s successful side and becoming a firm favourite with supporters.

Home fans sang his name when Wolves faced Fulham in last season’s final home game, and afterwards he suggested a return could be possible.

His comeback follows Wolves’ free transfer move for experienced defender Kieran Trippier after his departure from Newcastle.
