Raúl Jiménez is a free agent after Fulham confirmed his contract has expired, reviving talk of a return to Club América following more than 10 years in Europe.

According to Americayya.net, Wolverhampton, another of his former clubs, are interested in signing him for next season, aiming to return to the Premier League after being relegated this season.

That interest complicates what had seemed a straightforward next step after his Fulham exit.

The decision rests with the 'Lobo de Tepejí'. The striker has said he will settle his future only after Mexico finish their 2026 World Cup campaign.

His options include a return to Club América, staying in England with Wolverhampton, or moving to another league such as MLS, Arabia or a lower-tier European league.

If he does not go back to América now, a future comeback appears unlikely, and any eventual return would probably be only to bid farewell to professional football.
