Despite Marco Silva’s Fulham losing 3-2 at Manchester United, Raúl Jiménez converted his 12th successive Premier League penalty to set a new record for spot-kicks scored without a miss.
As reported by Glorioso 1904, the achievement capped an immaculate run from the spot. The striker played for Benfica from 2015 to 2018.
The streak began in November 2018 with Wolverhampton Wanderers against Tottenham. After a serious skull fracture in 2020, he soon resumed penalty duties, scoring in a Wolves win over Southampton.
The previous benchmark belonged to Yaya Touré, who converted all 11 penalties he took for Manchester City between 2013 and 2017. Jiménez and the former Ivory Coast midfielder are the only players to reach double figures without a miss, with Dimitar Berbatov next on nine from nine.
Now in his third season at Craven Cottage, the Mexico international has 28 appearances in 2025/2026, totalling 1,932 minutes, with seven goals and three assists.
