The Athletic report that Bundesliga duo RB Leipzig and Stuttgart have expressed their interest in signing Chelsea forward Armando Broja. Both clubs see the 23-year-old as a replacement for potential departures with Benjamin Sesko and Xavi Simons potentially on their way out at Leipzig, while Stuttgart have rejected an opening offer from Bayern Munich for Nick Woltemade.
Following the arrivals of Joao Pedro and Liam Delap at Chelsea for a combined €97.2m, Broja is unlikely to find himself in Enzo Maresca’s plans this season. The Albanian spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Everton last season but missed 11 games through injury. Broja played just 332 minutes across 10 Premier League games, failing to score for the Toffees, who decided against exercising their purchase option on the forward.
Stuttgart had shown previous interest in signing Broja, opening talks with Chelsea last summer before opting to pursue other targets. He would have joined as back-up to Deniz Undav and Ermedin Demirovic, both of whom remain at the club.
