Sky Germany reports that RB Leipzig midfielder Assan Ouedraogo does not have a release clause in his contract at the club.
After a slow start to life at the Red Bull Arena, the 19-year-old has begun to gain steam in his performances in his second season at the club.
In 10 Bundesliga games, Ouedraogo has two goals and five assists, and has made himself a key part of Ole Werner’s three-man midfield. The former Schalke player’s form even earned him a call-up to the German national team during this international break, where he scored on his debut in their 6-0 win against Slovakia.
Ouedraogo joined Leipzig in 2024 from Schalke for €10m.
However, due to the nature of modern football, Leipzig have already received enquiries about the 19-year-old from clubs.
Ouedraogo is said not to have a release clause in his contract in Saxony, which is valid until 2029, meaning Leipzig can set the price.
If the midfielder continues on his current trajectory, even €50-60m will not be enough to prize him away from the Red Bull Arena next summer. Ouedraogo could also find himself as an outsider for a place in the German squad at his current rate.
