Just a matter of hours ago, reports emerged that Real Betis loanee Vitor Roque could be making the switch to Brazilian side Palmeiras, leaving Barcelona on a permanent move.

In a major u-turn, Mundo Deportivo are now reporting that a decision on the young Brazilian forward’s future has already been made, with both Real Betis and the player’s entourage coming to an agreement.

The decision has been made for Roque to remain at Betis for the time being, despite the recent signing of Cucho Hernández.

Vitor Roque hasn’t quite set the world alight in Seville this season, and his form will need to improve should the green-and-white club exercise their buy option.

The buy option in question could see Betis sign Roque for just €25 million, but with just seven goals so far for the club, there is a chance that they pass on the chance to sign him.

Meanwhile, Palmeiras will now need to look elsewhere for signings to strengthen their squad for their upcoming Club World Cup campaign.
