Real Betis star to miss Girona clash through injury | OneFootball

Real Betis will be forced to make do without the contributions of a member of the club’s backline in their upcoming La Liga meeting with Girona.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Ricardo Rodríguez as the player in question.

Defender Rodríguez was for his part in from the off on Thursday, as Real Betis made the trip to Poland, for a continental meeting with Jagiellonia Białystok.

En route to booking their place in the semi-finals of the Europa Conference League, however, the Verdiblancos’ left-back was forced off prematurely.

After pulling up early on with what appeared to be a muscular concern, Rodríguez was quickly hooked from proceedings, replaced by Romain Perraud.

Speaking to the media post-match, Manuel Pellegrini revealed that the Swiss international had picked up a hamstring issue.

And though the extent of as much is yet to be confirmed, Marca conclude that:

‘For now, it seems certain that the Swiss player will be ruled out for next Monday’s visit to Girona, his team’s next league match.’
