While formal negotiations have yet to progress into concrete bids, a summer departure for the highly-rated La Fabrica graduate is now considered possible as the club looks to capitalise on his soaring market valuation.

Rise within the club ranks

Born in Cadiz, Yanez joined Real Madrid’s La Fabrica in the summer of 2019 and has risen rapidly through the ranks.

Having heavily impressed at the youth level, the left-footed winger made his highly anticipated first-team debut for Los Blancos on 7 December 2024, coming on as a late substitute for Arda Guler during a dominant 3-0 La Liga victory over Girona at Montilivi.

His developmental path continued seamlessly into the 2025/26 campaign. Following his official promotion to the Real Madrid Castilla squad, Yanez became a vital regular figure.

Throughout the season, he managed to balance his responsibilities by featuring prominently in the UEFA Youth League for the Under-19 team while simultaneously making two senior first-team appearances in La Liga, notably recording an assist.

Well-protected

The 19-year-old winger’s long-term future is securely tied to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Indeed, shortly after his first-team debut, Real Madrid moved swiftly to secure his services, with Yanez having signed a comprehensive contract extension valid until June 2029.

This long-term arrangement gives Florentino Perez and the sporting staff massive leverage in any transfer talks, allowing them to dictate the structural financial terms of his potential exit.

Profiting from the academy

A potential departure for Yanez aligns perfectly with Real Madrid’s incredibly profitable administrative strategy regarding their youth academy graduates.

Los Blancos have raised more than €130 million this summer from deals involving current and former academy players, thanks to their policy of inserting buyback and future sell-on clauses.

Nico Paz’s high-profile move to Como alone saw the club pocket €60 million, while transfers involving former academy talents like Victor Munoz, Mario Gila, and Alvaro Rodriguez, among others, have also brought in revenue.
