The ongoing injury crisis at Real Madrid have indicated that the club are open to trying out their luck with young players, if necessary.

The likes of Raul Asencio has been able to make a mark in the first-team lately and there are many others who could soon follow.

One of them could be Baba Diocou, a right winger who currently plies his trade for Real Madrid C.

Ancelotti impressed by Diocou in training

According to Diario AS, Ancelotti was left impressed by Diocou’s performances in training, in the lead up to Real Madrid’s game against RB Salzburg.

The reigning European champions are slated to face Salzburg later this evening, in what could be a must-win game for Los Blancos.

Diocou was one of many youth prospects who were given the chance to train with the first team.

By the end of training, Diocou had made a solid impression, to a point where many started asking ‘who is this guy?’

Who is Diocou?

The question, therefore, does stand: who actually is Diocou?

As mentioned earlier, Diocou is a 19-year-old right winger, who arrived at the Valdebebas way back in 2015 – a decade ago.

Working his way up the ranks, Diocou currently plays for Real Madrid C. During his time at the youth level, the youngster has made a solid impression due to his power and speed on the flanks.

More importantly, Diocou is excellent when it comes to one-on-one duels as he can often outmuscle the opposing defenders. He also has impressive balance and composure in the final third, making him quite the prospect for Real Madrid.

Diocou’s first-team breakthrough, though, could be difficult and might require a lot of patience.
