Carlos Espí has completed a dream move to Real Madrid after the Spanish giants activated the €25 million release clause in his Levante contract.
The 21-year-old striker has signed a five-year deal at the Santiago Bernabéu, keeping him at the club until 2031, after enjoying a remarkable breakthrough campaign in LaLiga.
Espí's rise has been nothing short of extraordinary. After playing a limited role in Levante's promotion-winning season, he again found himself on the fringes at the start of the 2025/26 campaign. However, everything changed following the arrival of manager Luís Castro, who handed the young forward a chance to impress.
The Spaniard grabbed the opportunity with both hands, scoring 10 goals in his final 13 league matches to help Levante avoid relegation. He finished the season with 11 LaLiga goals from just 25 appearances, despite starting only 13 matches.
Real Madrid moved quickly to secure his signature after his impressive form attracted widespread attention. Espí becomes José Mourinho's latest attacking addition and will compete with Kylian Mbappé and Endrick for a place in the squad.
He is Madrid's fifth signing of the summer as the club continue to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.
