Trent Alexander-Arnold’s start to life as a Real Madrid continues to be filled with hurdles as the right-back has sustained another injury.
The 27-year-old right-back, who arrived in the summer from Liverpool, had already spent over a month out earlier in the season due to a hamstring issue.
Now, Trent is out for two more months after picking up a fresh thigh injury during Real Madrid’s recent 3-0 win over Athletic Club on Wednesday.
The injury comes at a very unfortunate moment for Trent as he was starting to flourish and grow into his role at Real Madrid following a slow start to life in Spain.
Following the confirmation of a muscle injury in the rectus femoris of his left quadriceps, Trent has now taken to social media to express his thoughts at the moment and send a message to the fans.
“Absolutely gutted about this one. The timing of it hurts but I will work hard to come back stronger and better! See you in 2026 Madridistas,” the England international wrote.
A number of his Real Madrid teammates including Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., Fran Garcia and Antonio Rudiger have commented on the post to offer their support to Trent.
So far in his first full season at the club, Trent has featured in 11 matches in all competitions, registering one assist, which came in the game vs Athletic Club before his injury.
The right-back will now miss close to a dozen matches for Real Madrid, including the Spanish Super Cup semi-final and possible final, as well as their opening games in the Copa del Rey.
