Victor Munoz has been the talk of the town in Spain over the past week, with the Osasuna winger being linked with a major move in the summer.
The 22-year-old attacker, who came through the ranks at Real Madrid before leaving last summer, has emerged as a potential target for FC Barcelona.
Los Blancos, however, retain a great degree of control over Munoz’s future as they still own 50% of the player’s rights, while they also have buyback clauses for him for the next three summers.
In fact, some sources in Spain have suggested that Real Madrid have already decided to activate the €8 million buyback option to re-sign the winger later this year.
Now, according to Jose Felix Diaz of AS, no decision has been made by Real Madrid regarding a potential return for Munoz in the summer.
However, as per the report, the 22-year-old winger and the club have a contract agreement in place in case of a possible move back to the Santiago Bernabeu. Without such agreements, transfer deals with buy-back options would lack purpose.

Since joining Osasuna in the summer, Munoz has recorded six goals and five assists from 31 appearances in La Liga and Copa del Rey combined.
The winger even made his debut for the Spanish national team earlier this week in a friendly against Serbia, marking the occasion with a well-taken goal.
Munoz’s development highlights the effectiveness of Real Madrid’s approach to managing young players, which not only generates significant financial returns but also preserves the possibility of integrating them into the first team in the future.
However, for now, Real Madrid have not made a final decision about whether to bring him back or not. In case they do go ahead with a move, a contract agreement is understood already exist.
It is uncommon for a player to return after just one season, but Munoz’s rapid development, along with reported interest from Barcelona and other clubs, could accelerate the process.
