The powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid have altered their plans for the winter transfer window.
That’s according to Melchor Ruiz of COPE, who has on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Spain’s capital.
Real are of course fresh off another hugely concerning outing this past Tuesday.

On the back of a 4-0 La Liga drubbing at the hands of arch rivals Barcelona, alarm bells, in turn, have begun sounding on the white half of the Madrid divide.
So much so that, as per the aforementioned COPE, Florentino Pérez and co. have made the call to dip into the market mid-season:
‘Real Madrid’s intention is to sign this January. Although after Carvajal’s injury the club made it clear that it was not going to resort to the winter transfer market to find a replacement for the Madrid native, the option is no longer ruled out.’
