As reported earlier this week, Real Madrid maintain a strong interest in Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi and have a plan to lure him to the Santiago Bernabeu next year.
The 25-year-old will be a free agent at the end of the season, with his contract at Selhurst Park expiring, and the player having no intentions of signing an extension.
Real Madrid plan on using the presence of Guehi’s England teammates Jude Bellingham and Trent Alexander-Arnold to convince him to make the move to Spain.
However, competition for the 25-year-old defender’s services continues to get intense by the day. The likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and Liverpool are all in the race and now another team has joined the battle.
Indeed, according to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t AS), Inter Milan have also thrown their hat in the ring for the signing of Guehi in 2026.
The Nerazzurri will need to add some fresh faces to their defence as Francesco Acerbi is 37 and has a contract that expires at the end of the season, while Stefan de Vrij (33) also finds himself in the same boat.

Manuel Akanji will also return to Manchester City when his loan deal expires at the end of the season.
As such, Inter are in the market for defensive reinforcements, with Guehi, who will be a free agent, emerging as a target.
Real Madrid, though, are reportedly confident of signing the Englishman as the belief is that the player wants to move to the Santiago Bernabeu.
With David Alaba on his way out and question marks over Antonio Rudiger’s situation as well, it makes sense for Xabi Alonso & co. to bring in a new centre-back.
Someone like Guehi, who is entering the prime years of his career, and already has plenty of experience, could prove to be a brilliant signing.
