Real Madrid make initial approach for Rodri

Now, according to Matteo Moretto on Radio MARCA, Real Madrid have made an initial approach to explore the possibility of signing Rodri.

The former Atletico Madrid star’s current contract at the Etihad Stadium expires in 2027, making him an enticing target.

Given his contract situation, player profile, proven pedigree, and experience, Real Madrid are keen on a move and have decided to test the waters with an initial approach.

However, as per the report, as things stand, Rodri seems more likely to stay at Manchester City than leave for Real Madrid.

The midfielder was already inching closer to a renewal with the Cityzens, but the news of Pep Guardiola’s imminent exit has led to things halting.

Even then, it is expected that Rodri will remain with the Premier League champions despite having thought of a return to the Spanish capital at some point in his career.
