Real Madrid could be preparing for another explosive summer transfer window after reports revealed that super agent Jorge Mendes has offered two top-level players directly to the club.

According to fresh revelations from El Debate, Mendes has presented both Joao Neves of Paris Saint-Germain and Ruben Dias of Manchester City as possible signings for Real Madrid.

The report claims that between the two players, Neves is the one most attracted by the possibility of wearing the famous white shirt at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Mendes playing a big role

The outlet asserts that Mendes has re-established strong communication with Real Madrid’s hierarchy in recent months and is once again heavily involved around Valdebebas. 

Alongside discussions linked to the possible return of Jose Mourinho, the influential agent is also working on several major transfer opportunities.

It is known that Mourinho has identified multiple issues in the current roster and wants Real Madrid to actively explore market opportunities.

Part of those discussions has included the possibility of strengthening both midfield and defence, with Neves and Dias now appearing in the picture.

Both interested in Bernabeu move

The biggest obstacle regarding Neves is financial rather than sporting.

Since PSG are not considered a club that easily sell their biggest stars, reports suggest the French champions would only even consider negotiations starting from around €80 million plus bonuses.

However, one important detail could work in Madrid’s favour. The relationship between Florentino Perez and Nasser Al-Khelaifi has improved significantly in recent years, something that could potentially help future negotiations.

Meanwhile, Dias is viewed as one of the best centre-backs in world football because of his consistency. 

With uncertainty surrounding the future direction of Manchester City after Pep Guardiola’s departure, several players are facing new challenges.

Importantly, for Real Madrid, Dias himself would also welcome the possibility of joining Real Madrid. 

Once again, though, Manchester City are said to value him at around €80 million, although Real Madrid would almost certainly attempt to negotiate a lower figure if talks became serious.
