Real Madrid have opened disciplinary proceedings against Aurélien Tchouaméni and Fede Valverde after training-ground fights on Wednesday and Thursday. The club said in a statement that Valverde must rest for 10 to 14 days because of a head injury.
Thursday’s altercation left the Uruguayan with a facial cut, and he was taken to a nearby hospital to receive stitches.
The outcomes of both cases will be communicated once the club’s internal procedures are complete.
Both players are subject to Spain’s professional footballers’ collective agreement as well as Real Madrid’s internal regulations.
Thursday’s flare-up came a day after an initial confrontation at training. The announcement was issued shortly after 21:00.
